Lainate, July 2010 – Carlo Gavazzi Automation, the international electronics Group with activities in designing, manufacture and marketing of electronic equipment, launches CLD/CLP family, the liquid level program designed to control filling/emptying functions or combinations. The new system is the ideal solution for a number of conductive liquid level detection applications, like run-dry protection, tank overfill and pump control. It is designed in order to assure a wide sensitivity range, such as sewage water, tap-water, chemicals or salt water. Based on conductivity sensing technology, the CLD/CLP system is a safe and low maintenance solution. It stands out for its simple usability: settings are easily visible on the front of the devices, while the different functions can be directly selected on the sensitivity potentiometer or by rotary switches. “We are proud to present this new conductive level family, that allows us to expand our business in the liquid level detection field and to enter specific markets, such as Agriculture, Water distribution and Treatment, Food and Beverage and Chemicals, more effectively” – Torben Rochat, International Product Manager, states – “In order to offer a better service to our customers, we have reduced the number of conductive level systems and designed an up to date device easy to install and to set up”. Designed by the sensor development centre in Hadsten (Denmark), the CLD/CLP system has a wide detecting range – from 250 Ohm to 500 kOhm – and covers the great majority of applications in the field.
Main technical features • Power supply: 24 VAC/DC, 115 VAC or 230 VAC • Sensitivity from 250 oHm up to 500 koHm • Relay outputs • Simple fitting/emptying applications to advanced level detecting with LoLo or HiHi alarm outputs
