Powering Electric Charge Points
Posted in Carlo Gavazzi Controls by Alison on August 16th 2021
Charging stations consume significant amounts of electrical power when EV drivers charge their vehicle’s and the power needs to be metered to ensure accurate billing for the energy consumed.
Carlo Gavazzi’s energy meters provide reliable and accurate data for many EV charge points across the world, helping us all to manage our valuable resources more efficiently. The meters have the ability to communicate with smart energy systems via Modbus, RTU or TCP.
We offer a variety of energy meters for EV charging applications with the EM340 model proving popular because of it’s compact size for a three phase meter. It also features an extended temperature range of -25 to +70°C making it ideal for use in a wide variety of climates.
