As we continue to encourage more road users to switch to hybrid or electric vehicles in a bid to manage our valuable resources more efficiently, it's essential that the government ensure that the UK has a fit for purpose charging infrastructure available.
The latest regulations which came into force on 30 June 2022 requires all electric vehicle charge points sold and installed in England, Scotland and Wales to be ‘smart’ and state that a measuring system, to measure or calculate the electricity imported or exported and the time the charging lasts, with visibility to the owner of this information.
