Environmental Sensors for Smart Buildings

The monitoring of air quality has many benefits when used in applications such as academic and commercial buildings, retail outlets, restaurants, bars and cinemas such as a more comfortable and healthier environment. Humidity sensors are popular where buildings contents are particularly vulnerable to damp and condensation such as libraries, stately homes and archives, whilst temperature sensors are used to regulate the environment ensuring comfortable conditions are always suitably met whilst energy efficiency targets can be realised.

Carlo Gavazzi’s range of wall mounted sensors are offered in different combinations of CO2, temperature and humidity, with or without display, and the CO2 versions offer a choice of LCD or traffic light indication.

The traffic light version indicates the CO2 level with a tri-colour LED by showing green, amber or red, the transition thresholds are programmable from the Dupline® controller.  The CO2 sensor has a measuring range of 0-2000ppm and utilises dual source infrared NDIR technology, temperature sensors measure -20 to 50°C whilst the humidity sensor measures 0-100 %RH.
